I think I’ve joined a salsa band!
Looking forward to my second rehearsal as a bassist with the Sil Davis Salsa Experience, it seems like we’re a good fit and I’m looking forward to an ongoing collaboration!

I’m starting to internalize this. A few things that been helpful:
- Profe Chiqui‘s focus on nailing down the 4 with chord change first, and then add the 2& to the mix.
- Jessica reminding me that Edgardo used to teach it as King, Kong.
- Working these into “Juliana” at 75% speed, then 80%, on up to full speed.
